I know that Etude House Color My Brows is so last year, but I have to write a review on it since it is great to tint your eyebrow. For example, when you dyed your hair brunette, it is best to also color your brows in similar color. It is easier to achieve by using brow mascara. This product is one of the best to do that. Also, it is very affordable. It costs only IDR 70.000 and you can buy it in online stores. Keep on reading for in-depth review.
WHAT IS IT?
Etude House says that it is a brow mascara combs to set, shade and moisten brows for a refined natural look.
The packaging is really simple. It looks like small mascara or travel size mascara. It is very slim that it is easy to travel with. I love that the cap shut tightly so that the content doesn’t spill out. The wand looks like a big spoolie, but not as big as mascara wand. I am not a big fan of this wand because it is too big for the shape of my eyebrow. I prefer a slimmer one.
Etude House offers 6 shades for this product. Sadly, none of them is ashy or greyish. Almost all of them have red undertone. Here I use color number 1, which is Rich Brown. This is the deepest shade. The company explains this shade is suitable for dark hair such as black or dark brown. However, I have to disagree. This shade is too reddish for a deep haired person. I wish Etude House provide deeper brown for people who dyed their hair brown.

HOW I USE IT
After filling in brows with eyebrow pencil, coat the eyebrow hair with this product. I like to comb through my eyebrow like I use a spoolie, but this time I do it in opposite direction of eyebrow growth. I make sure that I tint every layer of hair so that it doesn’t look patchy. Then, I comb my eyebrows in the right direction to make them neat. After that, I comb the front part of the eyebrow up. Don’t forget to wipe the excess from the wand before applying it on eyebrow to get a smoother look. I suggest to use eyebrow pencil with similar color.
It smells like a mascara but the texture is not as sticky. The texture is more like a liquidy version of brow pomade. When I swatched it on hand and rubbed it, it can vanish, leaving only a little tint in my hand. That is why when I am using this product, I should hold back from rubbing or scratching my eyebrow because it will smear all over. The product itself is expiring in 6 month after opening. I found that the product inside the bottle is drying quickly but I still can use it. When I first open it, I remember it being more liquidy.
I tried wearing them more than 12 hours. It still stayed on my eyebrow, but if I rubbed or scratched it, it still transferred to my finger. It doesn’t claim to be waterproof, but I find that it still can hold up even when I wash my face for wudu.
For me, it is the best product to tint eyebrows. It doesn’t give a fuller effect like Benefit Give Me Brow, but it does add color to eyebrow nicely. Given the affordable price, I rate this product 4 out of 5.
